At The Outlet Mall

After our architecture tour of Columbus we headed up I-65 to the outlet mall for a Visa card workout.

Irwin Gardens, Columbus, Indiana

The Irwin Gardens were modeled on a Pompeian garden. The landscaping has varied over the years. Scent of privet except in the fragrance garden. The Irwin Sweeney Miller house is in the center of town, just down the street from the library. Its situation on the corner of a residential block makes it both more conspicuous and a regular joe.

Columbus, Indiana

On weekends downtown is quiet, unusually quiet. So much the better to appreciate the architecture.

Friday night in Bloomington

Courthouse Square, not far from campus. School is out but still a lively crowd braves the rain. Restaurants are all busy.
