3547 Bishop Hill Road & Baltimore Woods, Marcellus, NY

Sabine and I lived in this house from August, 1979 until May, 1981. The old garage is gone and it's not quite as private but it's much the same. We used to go to the Baltimore Woods on Saturday mornings to hike around. Sometimes they had programs, outdoor demonstrations relating to the pioneer lifestyle. Now it has a proper building with an auditorium. Still has the trails into the woods, and the log cabin with gardens (dig these hollyhocks). Central New York is beautiful - rolling hills and lush green. Beautiful to observe, wonderful to wander around in on foot, by car, bike, boat,...

At the Baltimore Woods Fred and I attended a presentation on freshwater fishes by Robert Werner, professor emeritus at the SUNY Forestry School.

the house looks the same on the outside, too bad they removed trees and bushes in the front. What's wrong with privacy?
I don't understand!
no doubt that the countryside looks gorgeous, especially compared to illinois...

One interesting (to me) fact from the presentation is that New York State has 70,000 miles of stockable (fishable) streams. - Fred
