Golf at Pearl Lakes on Old Seneca Turnpike

It's only the good shots that count. Par on the 5th hole, two solid drives on the 8th (long par 4) and another good drive on the 9th (short but tricky uphill par 3).

I got lucky on the 5th hole - a line drive that hopped over the water and bounded to about 8 or 9 feet from the hole. My try for birdie missed by a few inches. In the picture below my first shot is a white speck at 3 o'clock.

9 holes after work with Fred and Janet, our longtime (1979) good friends and my gracious hosts in Skaneateles. I made par on the 5th. Fred birdied the 9th. Old hat for Fred but this was the 4th time in my life I've played golf (previous 1965, 1981, 2005)
