My Grandparents' House

Angelo (facing camera) and Janie were gracious hosts to 15 strangers who wished to tour their house and property. The house was called "the new house" by the Dutch family my grandparents bought it from in 1917. The Dutch family were the original settlers of the property, in the mid-17th century. The original house burned down, conceivably by marauding Indians. The new house was built in 1840, or 1801, or 1810. It has a secret stairway to hide from marauding Indians in. Turns out Angelo and Janie bought the house from Noah Gullickson, co-owner of Clove Cottages where I am staying.
