Angelo (the owner) grills some hot dogs for us. Local news item: a bear was spotted in Marcellus, a stray from New Jersey. There is an old (19th century) legend of the Marcellus Panther. A few locals claim to have seen it but no one has offered any proof. Mountain lions in New York? I've known people who claim to have seen them in the Southern Tier. But today was a laid back rainy day. I read an old Updike collection ("Assorted Prose") and in the evening Fred, Janet, and I played chip and putt.
